Fresh, Local and Tasty – All our carrots are grown in the North West and hand picked fresh to order. Carrots are one of the best vegetables for British farming, with the vast majority that we buy being British. In season virtually all year round
This would usually be around 4 medium onions, however this will depend on the season as our onions can vary in size throughout the year. Our onions are all sourced locally and harvested to order, so their as fresh as can be when they arrive at your door!
Whether it’s boiled, mashed or roast potatoes you love our potatoes are great all rounders. They are all locally grown, and might be a little muddy! Available alongside any veg box or bag and delivered fresh to your door.
Chestnut mushrooms are definitely a favourite amongst mushroom lovers. Packing plenty of flavour, Great for a vegetarian risotto, a hearty pasta or a creamy mushroom sauce. Mushrooms contain lots of potassium which is good for the heart
British flat lettuce, a great base for any salad or wrap, and perfect for a summers day. In season nearly all year round, our flat lettuces are grown in Knutsford, and actually have more vitamins and nutrients than iceberg lettuces.
Crunchy and sweet British Apples, usually from slightly further South with a range of different varieties of apples throughout the year.
Rhubarb grows very well across the North of England, with Yorkshire being well known for it. But you can find it even closer to home with farms across Cheshire! Perfect for a crumble, a jam or even an ice cream.
Kale is a very versatile veg, a great addition to pasta dishes, perfect for a green smoothie or a nutritious soup. Alternatively it’s delicious just fried with some garlic.Â
In peak season between August and October, sweetcorn is perfect for a salad or just as corn on the cob. Sweetcorn is also high in fibre and rich in antioxidants, to protect your body from disease and help with digestion.Â
Portobello mushrooms are bigger mushroom than traditional white or chestnut mushrooms, perfect for stuffing when cooking. There is no seasonality to mushrooms and they are grown all year round in the UK.Â
Best between late summer and late winter, these pears are deliciously crunchy but still juicy! Tasty to eat as they are, but they also make a great pudding, whether it’s a cake, a crumble or a tart you’re baking.
British Cauliflower grown in Cheshire and Lancashire. Great for a Sunday roast or a cauliflower cheese! Cauliflowers are in peak season between September and December, and part of the brassica family along with Broccoli.
Crisp iceberg lettuce we all know and love. They are in peak season between May and December, but can be grown all year round in the UK. Ideal for adding that crunchy texture to a salad or a wrap.Â

A comforting winter vegetable, butternut squashes make some great, hearty stews, soups and risottos. They are a vegetable that keeps very well, and is packed with fibre, vitamins and antioxidants.Â
Leeks are in peak season from August through to March, and are a staple and key ingredient in many a dish. Crunchy when raw, leeks become softer and sweeter once cooked. You’ll get 3-4 good sized leeks for 750g.
British pumpkins, ideal for a pumpkin soup, pumpkin pies or even muffins and pancakes if you’re feeling adventurous! In peak season during October to December, of course traditionally used to ward off evil spirits during halloween.
British broccoli can be harvested throughout most of the year, with the exception of harsh winter months. We all know that oranges are a good source of vitamin C, but did you know a Broccoli has just as much vitamin C?
A great veg to grow in the UK climate, beetroot is delicious roasted or raw. Whether you’re looking to brighten up a salad, or even two add to a refreshing smoothie. Available alongside any veg box, delivered fresh and sourced locally.
